Mawdesley Tennis Club’s 1st Team have just been crowned the 2011 Champions of the Southport & District Tennis League. This is the first time in the Club’s history that they have won this title. It is a fantastic achievement for a small village tennis club, who have beaten the bigger
Southport tennis clubs such as Birkdale, Formby and Argyle. This achievement represents three years of hard work by the Club and Captain, Mark Bamber.
In addition to the success of the 1st team, the 3rd team also gained promotion to Division 4 for the 2012 season. Well done to everyone involved.
3rd January 2010 - New Club Blog Launched
The NEW Club Blog is now up and running - please check it out at: http://mawdesleytennisclub.blogspot.com/
The new Blog will allow Mawdesley Tennis Club members to communicate, share news and publicise events more easily.
All members are able to comment on a post without registering, but if you would like to be able to write your own posts please email Lydia Hale at: lydiahale@hotmail.com to register. The more people we get posting the better the blog.
2nd January 2010 - Mawdesley Tennis Club loads it's NEW Photograph Albums
30th December 2009 - Facebook reaches Mawdesley Tennis Club
The NEW Mawdesley Tennis Club Facebook group has been launched for 2010. The facebook group will allow Mawdesley Tennis Club members to communicate, share news and photographs and publicise events more easily. To join you must have a facebook account and then search for 'Mawdelsey Tennis Club' in groups.
